Lab AIR is a design studio by Iris de Kievith and Annemarie Piscaer. They took this initiative with the belief that we should take better care for an healthier living environment. In 2018 they started their collaboration with Smogware: an international and participative project to raise awareness of air pollution, developed around a set of ceramic tableware glazed with local air pollution.
Annemarie Piscaer
Annemarie Piscaer studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven and Master Education in Arts at Piet Zwart Institute. In 2014 she started Studio Dust, a design studio focusing on research and design with waste-flows. Everything has a value and can be used as a resource. ‘From dust to dust’. She teaches among others at Academy Sint Joost and Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
Iris de Kievith
Iris de Kievith worked since her study at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at the TU Delft (NL) as an independent architect in transformation projects. With the interest for man and its living environment she states ”if the environment shapes who you are – what environment do you want to create?”
